OEM / JDM / ODM
When bringing a new product to market or re-launching an existing product with new features, key success metrics are cost and time to market. Either or both may be negatively impacted if the design proves difficult to manufacture especially if there is a rapid demand for increased volume.
A design partner who is well integrated with a full service manufacturing system knows how to minimize risk. Our design teams have executed numerous design-build projects for customers across a variety of industries on a global scale. We incorporate manufacturability, assembly and test principles into the early design stages of a product to assure seamless production.
JDM/ODM services include:
Following the design phase of your product, we build prototypes to test the manufacturablity and any industry compliances. In the past, electronics manufacturers produced prototypes using breadboards components, but widespread availability of custom prototype PCBs now allows manufacturers to produce prototypes that closely mirror the intended product. Prototyping may occur multiple times at various points in the design and planning stages for a project. Once all the design and manufacturing issues are worked out, we can rapidly transition into full-scale production. Please visit our Contract Assembly page to learn more about our assembly facilities.
Our Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) service is responsible for designing and building a product according to a customer’s own specifications. Our service also includes global distribution and returned product factory repair, which can greatly reduce customer’s overall production costs.

REVERSE ENGINEERING – RAPID MANUFACTURING
YOMURA TECHNOLOGIES employs state-of-the-art technologies to select materials, validate component designs, develop tool designs and optimize its processes, ensuring that innovative concepts are achievable at the lowest cost of production.
With Moldex3D analysis technology, Yomura can now perform in-depth simulation on a wide range of injection molding processes?to optimize product designs and manufacturability.? We are able to obtain critical information in detail from simulation, such as plastic flow patterns and temperature distribution inside the mold. The wide range of materials specs in our database also helps material combination optimization.
Yomura employs Moldflow advanced plastic flow simulation software to ensure a wide range of typical molding defects are identified and avoided. We have the ability to predict how plastic parts fill, shrink, cool and warp that gives us a powerful and in-depth insight to the injection molding process, allowing critical decisions to be made with confidence – and significantly reducing project risk.?
Yomura uses PowerMILL’s software to provide comprehensive range of patented high speed machining and multi-axis toolpath strategies, raceline and trochoidal machining, allow us to tackle the most difficult and challenging parts whilst achieving faster machining times, reduced tool loads and make smoother surface finishes.
The use of Pro/E, Solidworks & Autocad allow Yomura complete inter-operability in a diverse range of industries, from 3C and military projects to aerospace, automotive and medical parts. We can interface with our customer's designers and engineers in any location globally to deliver the right solution.
Through streamlined production, our value-added Manufacturing Solutions Strategy has proven to ensure reliability, accelerate time to market and reduce total life cycle costs.
